Sex Worker Summit

Join us for the third annual CatalystCon Sex Worker Summit, a safe space created to have conversations on current topics relevant to sex worker lives. Anyone who identifies as a sex worker, past or present, is invited to learn, share, and listen to each other as we find ways to support and empower one another.
This is a free event open to current sex workers and former sex workers only. This is not open to allies or press.
Registration is required and space is limited.
11-11:15am: Mingle and Welcome time
11:30am: Mia Li … Setting the tone for our time together/facilitating a time of sharing
12:00pm: Phoenix Calida … #MeToo and Sex Workers : Respectability Politics, Whorephobia, and How SW of Color Get Left Behind
1:00pm: Break for lunch

… Nom will be sharing about her journey as she tries to balance being part of the #MeToo movement while resisting being identified solely as a victim. She will explore how even as a strong woman, she’s struggling to powerfully own her own stories of harassment while being a role model to her children .
3:00pm: Alex S Morgan
and Meg Vallee (Munoz)
… SESTA/FOSTA: Harm Reduction and Surviving Differently. We will be updating as much as possible, opening up a shared space for community questions, and then taking time for discussion/information sharing within the group.
Mia Li and Meg Vallee (Munoz)
… Will facilitate a community debrief and close out our time together.
