CatalystCon creator Dee Dennis has once again chosen The Center for Sex and Culture as recipient of fundraisers to be held during the conference weekend at CatalystCon.
Dee has donated two tickets to a future CatalystCon conference to be raffled off Sunday during the closing but you need not be present to win! Tickets will be on sale all weekend at the CatalystCon Registration table for $5 each (or five for $20). In addition to the main fundraiser, the CatalystCon sponsors will also be raffling off prizes from their collections. Tickets will be on sale at Registration for $2 each; visit their tables in the Hospitality Lounge and Exhibitors Hall for more information.
Those who are not attending CatalystCon can still support the cause by visiting the donation page on their website:
About the Center for Sex and Culture: The CSC, founded in 2000 by Drs. Carol Queen and Robert Morgan Lawrence, is an archive, library, gallery and community space aimed at preserving and sharing information and artifacts of sexual identity, sexual products, and sexual ideas. The mission of the Center for Sex and Culture is to provide judgment-free education, cultural events, a library/media archive, and other resources to audiences across the sexual and gender spectrum; and to research and disseminate factual information, framing and informing issues of public policy and public health. The CSC aims to provide a community center for education, advocacy, research, and support to the widest range of people.
“The Center For Sex and Culture collects because every single sex-related item, in a society that is obsessed by and ashamed of sex, is vulnerable to extinction,” said Queen. “There’s less knowledge about sex informing our history than any other significant elements of life in different times and places.” For more information visit: www.sexandculture.org.
